Ducks and Geese Everywhere

I was invited to participate in my first goose hunt in many, many years by some valued clients/good friends. The next thing I knew I was in a snow blind in the middle of a snow storm in Vanderhoof. I can't remember when I have had so much fun and so much action... ducks and geese everywhere. At one point Chad had geese actually landing virtually on top of us & the blinds. It was incredible and all four of us limited out easily. The black lab (Jake, I think) was also incredible and a real treat to watch as he was on every bird immediately. Top notch blinds, decoys, dog and guide and I would highly recommend Wing and Trout Outfitters to all.

7 Years of Guided Hunts

I and 3 of my colleagues have been coming to Wing and Trout Outfitters for the last 7 years and we have enjoyed our trips immensely. We initially went as a result of a Wing and Trout trip contribution to Ducks Unlimited which we purchased at the Vancouver Dinner. The birds have been plentiful and the guides have been great. I would recommend Wing and Trout Outfitters to others. The accommodation and food at North Country Inn in Vanderhoof is exemplary.

You Will Not Be Disappointed with Your Decision to Hunt with Chad

I started hunting geese and ducks in Alberta Canada in 2000 and have been returning every years, sometimes twice within the season. After a horrendous falling out with the outfitter I used in the Edmonton area in 2007, I have to say that I was leery of using a new guide for the 2008 season. However, after being introduced to Chad on a terrific Colorado goose hunt in December of 2007, I ecstatic when I heard he was opening an operation up in British Columbia and Saskatewan.

In 2008, I made the trip up to Vanderhoof and was absolutely amazed with the beauty of the area and abundance of wildlife. Not just waterfowl, but also deer, moose and bears. I brought my brother up for his first goose hunt on this trip and was pleased with how Chad made sure that everyone was safe and handled their firearms properly. A high point of that trip was seeing the look in my brother’s eyes when he saw the first flight of 50 or so geese drop in the spread. However, the image of the smile on his face when he shot his first goose will be with me for the rest of my life.

Without question, Chad runs one of finest operations I have been to in Canada. All the gear is first rate and hunts are exceptional. Not to forget - Chad is one hell of a goose and duck caller. You will not be, as I have not been, disappointed with your decision to hunt with Chad. In 2009 I will be back again. I booked with him before I left home in 2008.

More Geese and Ducks Than I Ever Thought Possible
